Cooking with Herbs

The Master Gardeners from Cornell Cooperative Extension are back with series of classes regarding the care, treatment and benefits of fresh herbs.  The first program, Thursday, April 13th, 7 - 8:00 PM is entitled “Herb Gardening” which will show the cultivating requirements for growing herbs and the best way to display them in local garden.  The second class is Tuesday, April 18th, 7 - 8:00 PM, and is called “Drying and Storing Herbs”.  Participants will be shown which plants are the easiest to preserve.  There will also be a discussion on harvesting, drying, preservation process and storing of herbs (and flowers too).  The final program, Thursday, April 27th, 7 - 8:00 PM, will be a “Cooking with Herbs” demonstration.  In this presentation, participants will learn the special qualities and flavors of herbs and how they can dramatically improve favorite recipes.

 
Advanced registration for each program individually in person at the library or by phone is required
